Magnet Giveaway at Tara's View of the World

Tara contacted me last week and is such a lovely person. You can tell she cares passionately about handmade work. She's doing a giveaway on her blog (Tara's View of the World) of a set of 6 magnets of your choice from my shop. Here's how to enter:

1. Visit Daisy Mae Designs and come back and tell Tara which six magnet designs you would choose for your set!

After you have done the first one you can...

2. Add Tara's button to your blog and leave her the link on her blog.

3. Subscribe to her blog in a reader or follow her blog and then leave me a comment telling me you did!

4. Blog about this giveaway and leave her the link to the post. If you don't have a blog just email five of your friends about this giveaway and leave her a comment telling her you did it!

5. Twitter about this giveaway and leave me a link. You can do this once per day for extra entries.

This giveaway is open to everyone everywhere - She will choose a winner on Wednesday, November 12, 2008.

Good luck everyone!

A Good Day at Crafternoon

Despite the widespread power outages in Columbus that are a week too long, Crafternoon on High went on with the show. Fortunately, the venue had excellent natural light and it was a nice cool day in the building.

There was a pretty good turnout and we learned what worked/what didn't in terms of product displays and packaging. We also met some great Columbus artisans in person, which is always a treat! Overall, it was a good day for a good cause.

New Glass Marble Pendants

I've been having so much fun creating glass marble magnets. New designs are coming out every day, and there's been a fairly positive response to them.

While I love making pewter pendants, I thought it might be fun to make glass marble pendants, too. And they're in the shop - 8 already - and more to come. Stop by Daisy Mae Designs to check them out and let me know your thoughts! Thanks!

Holiday Craft Show Season is Just Around the Corner

I've decided to try my hand at selling at craft shows this fall. I love attending them and I'm excited (and a little nervous/anxious). And, being new to Columbus, I had a tough time finding shows to participate in.

I've just signed up for Crafternoon on High in September. Hopefully I'll be accepted to that show - it's a great cause and seems like it'll be a great atmosphere in Worthington.

And today, I signed up for the All Saints Academy Craft Show in Columbus on November 8. I'm hoping to do one more show in October ... it should be a fun fall!

LuckyOliver

I'm sad to learn today that LuckyOliver will be shutting down its stock photography site. As a contributing photographer, I appreciated what they did for photographers and loved the site's fun, tongue-in-cheek style.
